Observation Narrative ? The plot is located just below the crest of a high, dry, bayside dune. Quercus falcata is the dominant tree in both canopy and subcanopy layers here. Sparse shrub and herbaceous vegetation is at least partly the result of continual, heavy browse by deer. Plot located near top of steep dune ridge 0.1 mi ENE of lighthouse.
